Adult health and social care charity Making Space has been named the Employer/Workplace of the Year at the Greater Manchester Health and Care Champion Awards 2024.

The awards are organised by NHS Greater Manchester and are held to recognise the exemplary contributions of the region’s  health and care workforce.

Having worked with Making Space for several years, I see first-hand how committed the charity is to supporting and celebrating colleagues. I’m thrilled to see this recognised with this well-deserved award.

Also successful were Stockport’s Open Door mental health crisis support team and their service manager Samantha Stockdale, who reached the finals in the Community Champion and Leadership Champion categories respectively.  Support worker Natasha Diallo continued her run of awards success as a finalist in the Learner of the Year category.
