Sixteen successful award nominations for charity Making Space

The adult health and social care charity Making Space has been shortlisted for 16 Great British Care Awards.

Making Space, which employs over 1200 people around the UK, submitted 18 nominations for this year’s GBCA awards, which are held in regional events across the country. Regional winners will go onto the national finals in Birmingham in March.

The awards are held annually to celebrate excellence across the care sector and pay tribute to outstanding care professionals on the frontline and behind the scenes.

In 2022, Making Space established its own Colleague Awards to recognise  individuals and teams who inspire others, go above and beyond expectations and make a real difference to the lives of the people supported by the charity.

As well as paying tribute to the people who consistently provide an outstanding service, care sector awards shine a light on the valuable and rewarding work care professionals do every day. Not only with the awards themselves, but with the positive news coverage that can be achieved from successful nominations.

And, with the care sector facing its biggest recruitment crisis in decades, these positive stories highlight how rewarding a care profession can be.
